Yesterday, December 10th, was International Human Rights Day, so today we’re recognizing Pakistani Malala Yousafzai, a world leader, education advocate and the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate. Although an attempt was made on her life when she was just 15 because of her activism for girls’ education,  Malala advises, “Let us pick up our books and our pens... They are the most powerful weapons...I don't want revenge on the Taliban; I want education for sons and daughters of the Taliban.”

AMS Yearbooks are on sale in the office for $40 through this Thursday, and you can also encourage your parents to reserve a yearbook ONLINE. Please pick up a flyer in the library or office for information and details.

6th grade students, please make sure you get your lunch from the kitchen before the 7th/8th graders are released for lunch. Please do not wait for their release to get in line.
