Tryout Information Boys Basketball & Co-ed Soccer tryouts are scheduled to take place Dec. 11th-15th. Exact times will be announced by Friday, Dec. 8th. Please understand that tryout/practice times cannot be announced until our coaching staff has been confirmed. Thank you for your patience.
Due to the high number of students interested in participating, we do make cuts for most AMS athletic teams. Coaches will select players based on several criteria, including, but not limited to; -attitude -work ethic -skill-level -position played -commitment level
Players are expected to attend all tryout sessions in order to give our coaches an opportunity to evaluate each player. Please make sure your child wears appropriate attire for each day of tryouts (gym shorts, t-shirt, athletic shoes).
Boys Basketball Parent Meeting (Wednesday, Jan. 10th @ 7pm) Our Parent Meeting will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 10th at 7:00pm in the AMS gym. All parents of students participating on the team are expected to attend this informative meeting. Please make it a priority to attend!

Looking for a reason to clear out Halloween leftovers come Nov. 1? Every year, Albany Middle School helps At the Crossroads (atthecrossroads.org), a San Francisco organization geared toward helping homeless youth, in its annual candy drive.
If you have excess candy you'd like to contribute, a bin labeled “At the Crossroads” will be in AMS's main office through 11/8. Bring by your extras — they'll go to good use. Click the link to learn more about At the Crossroads' candy drive, and thank you so much!

The AMS Physical Education department is hosting the 2nd Annual AMS Turkey Trot on Tuesday, 11/21/17. We are asking for parent volunteers to help set-up, monitor, and break down the race course. This is a great opportunity to help AMS P.E. and see our students participate in a great event. We can use help from 8:30am-12:30pm. 7th Grade will be trotting from 8:55-9:45 (2nd Period), 6th Grade will be from 9:50-10:40 (3rd Period), and 8th Grade will be from 11:40-12:30 (5th Period). You don't need to be available for the whole morning. If you can make it for just one or two races, we would be very grateful. Please email Mr. Peters at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to help out. Thank you so much!
