PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Good evening,

We hope everyone had a good week. Our annual Night of Magic event just concluded and it was a huge success. Congratulations to the Dumbledore's Army Club for organizing another fantastic evening. A special thank you to the club advisor and our amazing teacher-librarian, Ms. Linda Perez, for all of her hard work and dedication to our school community in making this such a wonderful event for our students and families.

We are now just two weeks away from the end of the third quarter, and time is certainly moving quickly this school year. Students recently made their elective choices for the 2026–27 school year, and next week we will be visiting all three of our elementary schools to meet and welcome our incoming 6th grade students.

Next week our band students will perform in their Spring concerts, and Track & Field tryouts will begin the week of the 23rd.

There are lots of great things happening at AMS. Thank you for being such a supportive and wonderful community.

Go Cobras!

Principal, Albany Middle School

PTA CORNER

Volunteer for the Spring Soiree on April 16, 3-6 pm, at AMS!
The Spring Soiree is just 6 weeks away, happening on Thursday, April 16th, from 3-6pm! This is a very exciting afterschool carnival event that the PTA organizes exclusively for students, but we need many parent volunteers to make it happen! Can you get involved? We have over 100 volunteer slots to fill for the day of the event, as well as some leaders to help oversee the event. It's a really fun event to be a part of, and by volunteering, you have a front row seat to observe your AMS student and their friends, enjoying all the games, food and fun activities!  Please consider signing up for a timeslot or two here!  No time to volunteer in person? We need food and drink donations for the Cobra Cafe. Sign up here! We also need volunteers to help with the planning process. Can you help? If so, please contact Eliza Welch Sears at elizawelchsears@gmail.com or (415) 497-1852.

Join Next Year's PTA Board! Want to support AMS and help organize the PTA? Some of our current board members are finishing their terms and moving on to high school. We're looking for a Vice President, a Secretary, and a Parliamentarian to start next fall. Reach out to Catherine at president@ams-pta.org if interested!
