Announcements: April 23, 2019

Today, April 23rd, AMS is having their second Kick Butts Day. Kick Butts Day is a national day of activism that empowers youth to stand out, speak up and seize control against big tobacco companies. Each year, over 1,000 events take place across the United States. At lunch we will be hosting a scavenger hunt in the gym looking at how the advertising campaigns of e-cigarette/vaping companies specifically targets children and teenagers in a variety of ways. Those who complete the scavenger hunt correctly will be entered into a drawing for a number of prizes.

Attention all 8th graders: The Albany High School Science Bowl Club is seeking new members who are interested in learning more about science and competing in the Science Bowl, a jeopardy-esque competition for high schoolers. The Science Club is not only a great way to learn more about science and meet students with similar interests, but also looks great on college applications. Come check it out this Wednesday at 3PM in room 303 at the high school!

There is no Ultimate Frisbee game today. Regular practice at 6:00 at Cougar Field.
