Congratulations to Albany Middle School students for being the recipient of the national Blue Ribbon Award.  We were the only California middle school to win and it’s a big honor!

Our first school dance will be Friday, November 3rd from 7-9 pm in the gym. Students may attend unless you have 10+ tardies, 3+ referrals or any number of suspensions. Please be mindful of tardies and see Mr. Haupert if you’ve been suspended or have 10+ tardies and would like to complete community service hours to attend.

The students, parents, and teachers at AMS will celebrate International Walk and Roll to School Day on Wednesday, October 4. This is a great opportunity to celebrate our health, the environment, and our school spirit. With the suggestions below, we’re hoping every student will participate by either walking, biking/boarding, or carpooling to school. Those who can’t carpool can have their families drop them off a few blocks away and walk. Check out the courtyard on Wednesday morning for small prizes to those who participate.

AMS students, please stay off the AHS campus until after the high school is dismissed.

At lunch today:

  • 8th grade DGSA members should meet in room 210 at lunch. We will have a regular meeting for all grade levels next week.
  • Science Bowl club is meeting in room 101 at 12:35. All students are welcome to join in the math & science fun.

Cross Country Runners, your next Meet is scheduled for today, Monday, October 2nd.  You need to be in uniform and ready to race.

The next student council meeting is this Wednesday, Oct. 4th at 7:30 am in the AMS Library.
