December 10 is International Human Rights Day, established by the United Nations in 1948 to commemorate the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Today we’re recognizing Ms. Huda Shaawari. She was born in 1879, in Al-Minya, Egypt, and is considered the founder of the women's movement in Egypt. Shaawari founded a women's social services agency and worked all her life to challenge the idea that women were beneath men and needed men's protection.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of AMS Drama Club's performance of "Make a Scene!" On Friday night, you presented a wonderful performance and showed off your excellent dramatic skills in and behind the scenes.
