Computer Science Education Week and the Hour of Code are here! Computer Science Education Week is held annually in recognition of the birthday of computer science pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (December 9, 1906). Her incredible ideas led to the development of many programming languages we use today. The Hour of Code is a worldwide event with millions of students in more than 180 countries participating. Join in by going to code.org and choosing from the many computer science and coding games available!


This Thursday, December 7th, is the last day to register for Boys Basketball. Late registration will not be accepted! Please register online on the AMS Athletics webpage.


Attention PE Students:  This week is Make-Up Mile Week.  Meet at the Mile Start Line at 12:40 during lunch any day this week to make up your missed Mile or Fitness Run (12:05 on Wednesday).  A PE teacher will be there to record your time.


The next student council meeting is tomorrow, Dec. 6th, at 7:30 am in the AMS library.


At lunch today:

  • Noontime sports is offering futsol, aka indoor soccer, in the gym.  Please wait at the white line to be let in by Mr. Rogers or Mr. Peters.
  • Earth Team is meeting in room 107
  • Spanish club members are meeting in portable 4 at 12:35. Feel free to bring in your lunch.

Garden Club members are meeting today after school from 3:10- 4:15.  Meet you in Portable 4.


Please release the Soccer “B” at 2:50 for their game today at Longfellow.


Come out and support the 6B, 7th, and 8th grade girls basketball teams at HOME today vs. King. Games start at 4:00 PM. Go Cobras!
