The Black History Month poetry contest deadline is tomorrow! The theme is “Black History Month: How this brings our commUNITY together”, and one AMS student will be selected to receive a $25 award and invited to recite their poem at the Black History Month program. Please ask your English teacher or find one of the flyers hanging up around the school for details.
7th graders: Please return your elective sheets to your core teacher by tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 1
6th graders: Please return your elective sheets by tomorrow to the class where you received your presentation.

Come out and support the 6B & 6A Boys Basketball teams today as they host Willard in the gym. Game start at 3:30pm. Below are a few do’s and don’ts for home basketball games.
Do’s:
- Show up ready to cheer for the AMS Basketball teams
- Bring your friends to enjoy the games with you!
- Have fun!
Don’ts:
- Don’t bring your bike, skateboard, razor, basketball or outside food into the gym.
- Don’t sit or place your backpack/bags on the floor in front of the bleachers. This area must be remain clear during games.
- Don’t taunt the referees, the other team, coaches or fans.
- Don’t exhibit any other unsportsmanlike conduct.
