Students, please remember to stay off the AHS campus until they are dismissed from school, especially on early dismissal days.


Thank you to all of the wonderful Super Friend Essays. All of the submissions were thoughtful tributes to very special friends, and we are lucky that these students are here at AMS. We'd like to give a special congratulations to this year's winner, James Mercer, and his Super Friend, Leo Pedersen! Please come to the main office after this announcement for your prize.


Unity Week is coming next week! This is the AMS tradition of promoting kindness and celebrating our diversity. We'll have spirit themes every day and fun unity activities at lunch time, brought to you by the Safe School Ambassadors. Look for the flyers hanging around school for more details.


At lunch today:

  • Sound Crew has a mandatory meeting at 12:45 in room 202 to plan for Unity Week. If you cannot come, please see Mr. Heans.
  • Ms. Skrivan is hosting a poetry slam workshop in room 203 for Unity Week planning. Snacks provided!
  • Domino Domination is taking their yearbook photo in room 115.  Of course we will also be battling!
  • PEAK is taking their yearbook photo in room 204
  • Earth Teamers, please drop by room 101 to get flyers about Earth Team t-shirts!
  • Photography Club is meeting in room 214
  • Anime Club is meeting in portable 1
  • The Mahjong Club is meeting in room 201
  • Art Club is meeting in the Art Room at 12.35. Please don't be late!

7th and 8th graders, please be mindful to not sit under the windows at lunch after the sixth graders go in. Thank you!


Come out to support the 6A/7th & 8th Grade Boys Basketball team as they host Orinda  today in the AMS gym. Games start at 4:00pm.  Please remember about our sportsmanship expectations for all students at home athletic events.


Do’s:

- Show up ready to cheer for the AMS sports teams

- Bring your friends to enjoy the games with you!  

- Have fun!

Don’ts:

- Don’t bring your bike, skateboard, razor, basketball or outside food into the gym.

- Don’t sit or place your backpack/bags on the floor in front of the bleachers. This area must be remain clear during games.

- Don’t taunt the referees, the other team, coaches or fans.

- Don’t exhibit any other unsportsmanlike conduct.
