This week, we highlight LGBTQ history. On October 14, 1979, an estimated 75,000 to 125,000 individuals marched in the first National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights. And, on October 28, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act into law.

Come out and support the 6B and 6A Volleyball teams against King today in the AMS gym at 4:00 and 5:00, and 8B Volleyball team against Korematsu today in the AMS gym at 4:00. Go Cobras!
This Wednesday is the first canned food drive turn in date. Please have your advisory representative bring the donations to the atrium at the beginning of advisory class. Your cans will be tallied and entered on the bar graph. Remember, every can helps...so do what you can!
The second and final magazine sale turn-in day is this Thursday morning - before 1st and 2nd periods in front of the office! Remember that you can enter sales either online or in person.
Attention all 7th and 8th grade artists! Would you like to be involved in a large-scale mosaic piece for AMS? Ms. Luci, will be starting an art club where students will be creating a mosaic mural for the courtyard at AMS. SPACE IS LIMITED.
