This week is the last week to submit a Unity Week T-Shirt design! The design should include the words, "Unity Week" and need to have your name on the back. Please hand in your black-and-white line drawing on 8.5x11 paper to Ms. Uyeda's mailbox this week.
This Friday, January 25th is our next Spirit Day! The theme is "Pajama Day". Show your school spirit and wear your favorite pajamas! The dress code still applies, and you must dress for PE.
Our Winter Wonderland school dance is this Friday, January 25th from 7-9pm in the AMS gym. 8th graders, remember the first school dance in 6th grade? In my opinion, that was the best dance because of how many people came. We would love to see a substantial number of students come to this dance, and have a great time! Tickets are on sale today at lunch in the courtyard for $5. There will also be a limbo contest today too! You must return overdue library books before you buy a ticket!
All grades: Anyone who is interested in auditioning for the school's spring musical play, which is Once On This Island, Jr., you must come to ONE MANDATORY informational meeting. All meetings held in P1. Here are the times:
- 12:35 today, TUESDAY (1/22)
- 12:35 THURSDAY (1/24) during Drama Club meeting
- 3:10 on THURSDAY (1/24) - PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A CHANGE - no meeting after school today

Design this year’s Unity Week T-Shirt. Black ink line drawings on letter-sized paper are due to Ms. Uyeda's mailbox by Friday, January 25. Your design must include the words “AMS Unity Week” and symbolize “unity.” Two artists will win $50 each!
6th grade Boys Basketball Black and Gold teams, come to the gym lobby today at lunch to get your uniform!
7th grade Girls Basketball tournament starts today after school in the AMS gym. Albany plays Stanley today at 4:00!
8th grade Girls Basketball is in Martinez for their 8th grade tournament. They play at 7:30 against Piedmont. Go Cobras!
