This Friday, January 25th is our next Spirit Day! The theme is "Pajama Day". Show your school spirit and wear your favorite pajamas! The dress code still applies, and you must dress for PE.
Tomorrow is the last day to submit a Unity Week T-Shirt design! The design should include the words, "Unity Week" and need to have your name on the back. Please hand in your black-and-white line drawing on 8.5x11 paper to Ms. Uyeda's mailbox today or tomorrow.
Hey AMS students! As you know, the Winter Wonderland school dance for all grades is happening this Friday night in the AMS gym from 7-9 pm. At this dance, the AMS leadership is debuting some different ideas to help improve dances and make them more enjoyable for everyone! Things such as purchasing tickets at the door, showing a movie, and fun activities at lunch that provide opportunities to win free dance tickets or concession coupons! And hey, eighth graders! Going to the dances for you is crucial! You guys need to attend the dances and represent eighth grade and all of its awesomeness! Dances at AMS always used to be packed but now, not so much. Lets get them back to the fun, exciting way they used to be! Tickets are on sale today at lunch for just $5.
All grades: Anyone who is interested in auditioning for the school's spring musical play, which is Once On This Island, Jr., you must come to ONE MANDATORY informational meeting. All meetings held in P1. Here are the times:
- 12:35 THURSDAY (1/24) during Drama Club meeting.
- 3:10 on THURSDAY (1/24) - PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A CHANGE - no meeting after school today
- Again, all meetings in P1
- If you would like to sign up for the stage crew, YOU DO NOT NEED TO COME TO ONE OF THESE MEETINGS. Be listening up for announcements about that in February.
- Auditions will be held on Jan. 30 (Wed), Jan. 31st (Thurs.) and Feb. 1st (Friday) after school. You will get information about the times and location at the informational meeting. See you soon!
Boys Basketball play their first games today at Longfellow Middle School!
- 6th grade GOLD at 4:00, 7th grade at 5:00 and 8th grade at 6:10. Go cheer them on!
