Good morning! Here is February's diversity announcement: February is Black History Month in the United States and Canada. We need to remember the contributions of people of the African Diaspora. Diaspora is the spreading out of a people from their original homeland. We also want to recognize all the people around the world who observe the Lunar New Year beginning on February 16th this year. Happy Year of the Pig!

Are you looking to doodle?  Are you interested in random acts of kindness? Well if so, the brand new Doodle Club is for you!  In this club we will aim to bring smiles to the world by making art work and passing it on to people who might be uplifted by it.  This is a safe space to be yourself and join other doodlers. Our first ever meeting is today in room 101 at 12:35, all people are welcome.  Bring your lunch and find out more!

Do you like writing poetry or rap songs? Would you like a place to write and practice your poems or raps -- and then maybe perform them during Unity Week in March? Come to Room 203 this Friday at lunch to meet and write with Ms. Skrivan.
