Nightmare on Puberty St. is an age-appropriate, live theatrical
performance about four young people on their journey through adolescence. As the characters wrestle with the question, “Am I normal?” they learn to cope with the changes affecting their bodies and minds. All 7th graders will view this together on Monday, October 16th.

Please email or otherwise contact Mr. Haupert ([email protected]) if you would like to opt your student out of viewing the performance.

If you forget to place your Fall Sports Team Pictures yesterday then you can place your order by filling out a picture order form, including payment, and mailing it directly to Photo360. Order forms should NOT be dropped off in the Main Office. See link below for printable Picture Order Form.

Students, parents, and teachers at AMS will celebrate International Walk and Roll to School Day tomorrow, Wednesday, October 4. This is a great opportunity to celebrate our health, the environment, and our school spirit. We’re hoping every student can participate by either walking, biking/boarding, or carpooling to school. Those who can’t carpool could have their families drop them off a few blocks away and walk. Students can check out the courtyard on Wednesday morning for small prizes to those who participate.

Albany Middle School has received a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School Award! The recognition is based on a school's overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. We were one of two middle schools in California and the only public middle school in California to win this award.

This award is a testament to all the hard working staff of Albany Middle School - teachers, custodians, counselors, paraprofessionals, office staff, service providers, food service workers, librarians, mental health interns, and TSAs. They all work tirelessly on behalf of our students. It is also a testament to our amazing community - families who go the extra mile for supporting their students, raising amazing human beings, and contributing to the school as a whole. But perhaps most importantly, this award is a testament to our students. We have a diverse and engaged student population. Our students genuinely care about the world they live in, and I am in awe of them every day. It gives me hope for our world to know this group of young people. Congratulations to all of the partners - students, families, staff, and community - who make Albany Middle School what it is!
