Electives
World Languages
World Language courses are designed for students with no previous background in the language of study. Students will learn the basics of the language: Culture, geography, and history of the countries where the language is spoken. These are academic courses in which students should expect daily homework, tests, and quizzes. Students will learn through interesting and fun activities like watching videos, singing popular songs, playing learning games, and participating in cultural celebrations. Two years of successful completion of a language at AMS will allow students to enter a second-year level as a freshman in high school. Students must begin middle school language study in 7th grade; there will be no entry point in 8th grade.
