We are looking for parents/guardians to serve on School Site Council! School Site Council (SSC) is an important governing group on the school campus. The SSC meets approximately once per month to review our Single Plan for Student Achievement and to guide our work towards our goals. SSC members typically serve for two consecutive years. This year, we have three parent/community seats open. If you are interested in being on our School Site Council, please email [email protected]. The timing of meetings will be on Tuesdays (once a month) at about 4:30pm-5:30pm.

Picture Day was September 4th, and if you haven't purchased pictures yet, you still have the opportunity! Your student should have received a proof sheet that shows you what their photograph looks like and gives you a Portrait ID & Access Code that you can use to order any packages you want on mylifetouch.com. And if your student missed Picture Day, makeups are on October 10th.

Picture Day at AMS was on September 4th, and you can still buy pictures online! Go to mylifetouch.com and use our Picture Day ID: BY118063Q0. If you buy pictures within 48 hours, your student's pictures will be delivered to the school at the same time as everybody else's. There will also be opportunities to purchase packages later in the year. If your student missed Picture Day, please know that Picture Makeup Day is on October 10th.

Yes, picture day is coming up, right after Labor Day! An order form was included in your orientation packet. Please have your student bring the filled-out form to school with them on Tuesday. Or you can order pictures online at mylifetouch.com with our Picture Day ID #: BY118063Q0.

If your child is interested in participating in a Fall Sport (volleyball, cross country, and flag football), be sure to register by this Friday, August 31st at 3:00pm! Go to the AMS website at ams.ausdk12.org , click on Athletics in the drop down menu, click on Athletic Registration, and follow the online process. You can also click the title of this announcement to go directly to the AMS Athletic homepage. Make sure to peruse the team pages for more information, and please note that some pages are still being updated.
